Manchester United needed a big result against Atletico Madrid to ease the pressure on head coach Michael Carrick. They didn’t get it. This was an improved performance from Carrick’s side after the limp display that saw them only draw with 10-man Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday but an early lapse which saw them concede after just 53 seconds, some horribly blunt finishing and then Leny Yoro’s second-half red card and a late second from Ademola Lookman saw them defeated. 🔗
