Crystal Palace could sack manager Pierre Sage if results and style concerns continue, says report.

Polymarket when the story was published: Spurs 60% · Draw 24% · Palace 20%

The problem is that for all Pierre Sage's acceptance of his own mistakes, he does not seem to be able to find solutions. He has a style of play in which he believes fervently. There is no sign of changing it, only doubling down. “I like the pressing and we are better when we defend high because when we defend low we struggle a lot,” he said in his post-match press conference. Crystal Palace’s priority has typically been to hire managers who are strong defensively with the knowledge that being tight at the back retains Premier League status. That is always their first ambition in a season, and if anything threatens that then chairman Steve Parish will be prepared to act. If he does not see any progress then he will make a change. It is not inconceivable that Sage becomes a third Palace manager effectively seen off by defeat in this fixture, even if the paucity of available alternatives could be a factor in his favour. 📝 @MattWoosie
