Tottenham have James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski back available after their win over Coventry City.

This was the moment Tottenham had been waiting for, especially after a transformational summer in the transfer market. It is only their fourth league win in 2026. The strange thing about it was this was less convincing than some recent performances in games they did not win. They looked ponderous on the ball at times and were vulnerable to Coventry’s counters. But after weeks when the performances did not produce results, few will care that it was a patchy performance that finally brought a victory. The big question now is whether this has a catalysing impact on confidence, especially with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski back. Spurs’ next game is Chelsea away, where they have a terrible record. But they have shown they can compete and win together, which is a big step in itself after recent weeks. Now they have to go and do it again. 📝 @JackPittBrooke
